Finish Posting!!!

Finally done with so-o-o-o many hectic posts. This day has come, muahaha...!! I can start planning new things, e.g. search for jobs (I need more $$), practise piano (long forgotten thing in my mind), finish reading 3 books (so that I can buy more books), wash my car, rearrange my blog, delete FB (should I?? I don't feel like using it), find more BigBang and 2NE1 (maybe 2AM) graphic icons and wallpaper, download more songs (I need more space for my hard drive!!). I think that's it for now. Yeah, happy!!!

Oliver! (6/2/2010)

4. Belgo's bowl of Marinière mussels served with fries. 5. Salmon fillet served with leek mash and mustard cream sauce. 6. Oliver! @ Theatre Royal Drury Lane. 7-8. @ Fortnum & Mason Piccadilly.

This is a small model or later version of the monument to the composer Handel, made by Louis-François Roubiliac (1702-1763) for Westminster Abbey. The monument was paid for by a bequest of £600, which Handel left in his will for this purpose. 29-30. Like the har

3. The Parish Church of St Anne, Kew. 4-6. St Mary Magdalene @ Richmond. 7-8. Wimbledon, home to the world-famous tennis tournament. 13-16. Wow, Chelsea Football Club!

Pasta (3/2/2010)

Paintings in National Gallery (2/2/2010)

1. A Young Woman playing a Harpsichord to a Young Man (probably 1659 ) by Jan Steen (1626-1679): The inscription on the inner side of the top of the harpsichord, ACTA VIRUM/ PROBANT (actions prove the man), may be a witty and ironic comment on this scene of flirtation. Usually music-making is associated with the harmony of love. Another inscription on the inner side of the keyboard, Soli Deo Gloria , means 'Glory to God alone'. 2. A Woman playing a Theorbo to Two Men (about 1667-8) by Gerard ter Borch (1617-1681): The association between music and love is a frequently depicted subject in Dutch genre painting. Yet the situation within this domestic interior remains deliberately ambiguous. Is it a happy domestic scene or is it a brothel? The viewer invited to decide. 3. A Woman singing and a Man with a Cittern (about 1665-70) by Godfried Schalcken (1643-1706): The association between music and courtship was a familiar topic in Dutch genre painting. Here it is underscored by th

British Museum。 3. The citole , an ancestor of the modern guitar, is a rare surviving example of an English musical instrument from the medieval period. It gives an insight into the splendour that surrounded aristocratic feasts where citoles were played with other instruments, especially fiddles. The detailed carving shows tiny figures among the leaves. Some are going about their daily business, such as the swineherd feeding acorns to his pigs. Others are involved in hunting deer or foxes. A number of monstrous creatures also appear such as the half-man half-beast shooting an arrow at a rabbit. The silver plate on the peg box is engraved with the arms of Queen Elizabeth I and her favourite, Robert Dudley, earl of Leicester. It dates from 1578 when the citole was converted into a violin. 4-7. 8. Women of World War II Memorial. 9. Somekind of building along WhiteHall. 10. Cabinet War Room

Commemoration of Charles I’s execution。为了纪念King Charles I殉节于1646年,the Royal Stuart Society and the Society of King Charles the Martyr会在每年1月的最后一个星期日,穿上17世纪的服装,拿着武器,骑着马,浩浩荡荡地从The Mall走到Old Admiralty Building,举行祈祷仪式。 11-13. 15. 建立在Thames河中,深50尺的The Greenwich Foot Tunnel联系了Island Gardens, Isle of Dogs和另一边的Cutty Sark Gardens。 16.

2. @ Natural History Museum. Big Bang《ガラガラ GO!! Model of umbrella-mouth gulper. This fish probably swims slowly with its mouth open to catch fish prey. 4. 2x life-size model of anglerfish. A large mouth and very stretchy stomach allow this anglerfish to swallow prey much larger than itself, such as lattern fishes. Like other anglerfishes, it attracts prey with a lure on the end of a long fin ray. 5. Brush-tailed possum. 6. Lesser Egyptian jerboa. 7.

Image

The Four Caryatids纪念4位为电影界付出贡献的女人:Mae West, Dorothy Dandridge, Dolores Del Rio和Anna May Wong。
